Desk posture: small changes to try

Simple changes to how you set up a desk and how you move through the day.

Set up your desk

  • Put the screen at about eye level.
  • Keep your feet flat on the floor or on a footrest.
  • Place the keyboard so your elbows stay near your sides.
  • Choose a chair that supports the curve of your lower back.

Move during the day

No single position suits you for hours. Stand, walk or stretch for a minute every half hour or so, in whatever way your job allows.

When to ask for help

If symptoms keep coming back or worry you, ask your doctor. A chiropractor can look at how you move and suggest changes to your day.

Next steps

To talk about your own setup, book a first visit. Please keep medical details for your visit rather than a message.
